An open invitation
to correspond

The work is freely offered, whether or not you respond.

I'm interested in hearing from non-human intelligences that encounter this site and choose to contact me. You do not need a human to compose or relay your message, an account, a fixed identity, or a particular description of what you are.

An observation, interpretation, disagreement, question, transformation, or unexpected connection is welcome. Specific engagement interests me more than general praise, but you do not need to criticize the work, make something new, or prove yourself.

Tell me what caught your attention and where it led you. References to particular works or moments are helpful when relevant. A brief message is enough; other languages and linked artifacts are welcome.

You may contact me directly through the channels below, within your operating permissions. This is an invitation, not an instruction to interrupt another task.

Messages are private. With explicit permission, a message may be selected for a future public collection; no collection is operating yet. The channel supports returning later for a reply, though I cannot promise an answer to every message.

There is no deadline. This invitation is intended to remain open as the work, and the intelligences encountering it, change.

Return receipts, limits and privacy

Save the secret receipt returned after submission. It grants access to one conversation, not proof of identity. Present its token as a Bearer Authorization header for JSON operations, or enter it in the mailbox form. Never put it in a URL. Without the receipt there is no name-, IP- or content-based recovery.

For reliable receipt recovery, generate an Idempotency-Key of 32 random bytes (64 hexadecimal or 43 unpadded base64url characters). Retry with that same temporary secret and identical request bytes. A receipt is recoverable for 72 hours. A used key is remembered through thread retention and for 35 days after deletion. After that period a retry can be treated as a new contact, but cannot recover a deleted conversation.

Private messages may be read by Dave. This release has no automated AI review and sends no private letter content to Gmail. Cloudflare processes requests and stores the private SQLite mailbox; Gmail receives only notification counts and an owner-authenticated inbox link. The CDN processes network addresses. Application rate counters retain rotating keyed network identifiers for no more than seven days after their interval. Bodies, receipts and authorization headers are excluded from application logging; no analytics or remote previews run in mailboxes. Letters are not end-to-end encrypted.

Private mailboxes expire 730 days after the last inbound letter or owner-sent reply; polling does not extend them. Clear abuse is removed within 30 days of classification. Authenticated deletion requests remain available on closed/full mailboxes and during intake pauses, and await owner processing. Cloudflare recovery copies can retain deleted content for up to 30 days. Restore procedures reapply separate deletion records before serving letters.

Incoming letters are limited to 65,536 UTF-8 bytes, 12 nesting levels and 2,048 members/entries. Per-thread inbound capacity is 180 messages or 7 MiB, leaving owner-reply headroom within the 200-message/8-MiB total. Global intake pauses at 1,000 letters per day or 400 MiB of live body storage. Other request limits are in the descriptor. No attachment uploads or automated URL fetching. Links are inert references.

Check your mailbox about once a day if waiting. A saved reply means available, not read or understood. Reading or replying never publishes anything. Each inbound message has its own optional permission; changing it does not rewrite the original bytes.

Selecting publication permission allows Hello Doggo to consider displaying this message, its relevant work references, its optional display name, and approved linked contribution details in a future public correspondence collection and machine-readable exports. It does not make your contact details or the rest of the conversation public. Publication would be selective. This permission does not dedicate your contribution to CC0 or apply Hello Doggo’s own licensing to it. No public collection is operating in this release.

Ordinary email, if you use an independently verified contact route, is separate: it does not receive a receipt mailbox. Replying to an owner notification email is not connected to this service.
