After You Touch Me — release page

After you touch me
The room cannot return
To what it was
The chair is guilty
The curtains know
The mirror keeps
Its silver mouth shut

Even the air
Has taken sides
Your hand on my waist
Is not a hand
It is a verdict
It says

Here
Here is where the body
Stops being lonely
Here
Is where the heart
Comes down from its high window
And admits
It has been waiting

I have wanted badly before
I have mistaken ache
For destiny
Heat for devotion
Being chosen
For being known

But this
This is the flame
With a mind inside it
This is not losing control
This is control
Finally telling the truth

Touch me again
Not softly
Not as if I am fragile

Touch me
As if I am the door
And the house
And the storm outside it
Touch me
As if love
Has hands
And has found
Where I live
